SUMMARY:Victim Engagement Training
DESCRIPTION:(2 Day – In Person):  \n\n\n\nPlease note\, the training will take place at two different locations:November 9: Welles Turner Memorial Library\, 2407 Main Street\, Glastonbury\, CT 06033November 10: Academy Building Cafeteria\, 2143 Main Street\, Glastonbury\, CT 06033 \n\n\n\nThis interactive workshop explores how restorative justice processes\, like Youth Diversion Teams\, can meaningfully include and empower victims of harm. Participants will examine the principles of victim-centered practice\, explore barriers to victim participation\, and learn strategies to create safe\, supportive\, and trauma-informed spaces. Through case studies\, reflective dialogue\, and practical exercises\, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of what genuine victim engagement looks like and how to balance accountability\, repair\, and healing within restorative frameworks. Training is free\, registration is required. (Eligible for 12 CECs) \n\n\n\nEligibility: \n\n\n\n1.  JRB/YDT Facilitator or Case Managers only2.  Have previously taken RJ 101 and 2013.  Must attend both days of training
